Project Description
Chiloquin Dam was a 21 ft high concrete dam that spanned approximately 220 ft across the Sprague River. The dam was a significant hindrance to fish passage for shortnose sucker, Lost River sucker, and bull trout. River Design Group worked with the contractor, Slayden Construction Group, to provide construction support services during removal of the dam. Services consisted of an evaluation of work area isolation techniques, investigation of existing conditions for dewatering activities, and value engineering.
