Project Description
River Design Group, Inc. is providing engineering and construction management services for several culvert replacement projects on Therriault Creek. The projects have consisted of replacing undersized corrugated metal pipes with new pipe archesto increase hydraulic capacity and improve fish passage conditions for bull trout and other species of fish. The designs have incorporated streambed simulation concepts that mimic natural channel hydraulic and morphological characteristics. The upgrades have reduce the risk of road prism failure/erosion during high flow events.
