Project Description
The Klamath Tribes with funding provided by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, retained River Design Group, Inc. to prepare a fish passage design for Whisky Creek a tributary to the Sprague River near Beatty, Oregon. RDG completed a field survey, existing conditions analysis, hydraulic modeling, and design for a fish bypass channel and constructed riffle. The proposed actions are intended to improve fish passage over and around an inline diversion weir that currently affects upstream and downstream fish passage under most flow conditions.
